Welcome to the English language portion of martine-aba.com. As the mother of a child with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), as well as therapist and team lead in the intense 30+ hour per week program focused on her continuing development, I have seen first hand how a well run, disciplined approach focusing on Discreet Trial Training methods can achieve tangible results. Having worked with several consultants from Lovaas Replication Sites, as well as along side many therapists from various backgrounds and experience levels, the collective experience gained has been invaluable.
Being a strong believer in the method which I saw first hand achieve success with my own child's program, and having gained the knowledge working closely with consultants from the Lovaas L.I.F.E. outreach program, I decided to dedicate my professional efforts to leveraging those experiences to offer ABA therapy services for families in my native France who are implementing a discreet trial-based program for their child. The therapy services I provide are available in both English and French, having worked programs in both languages. In addition to being a therapist, my organizational skills and strong character enable me to function as team leader for a group of therapists.
a bit more about my background ...
I began my work as a therapist working with my daughter from age 2 1/2 years and gained experience working formal programs consisting of over 30 hours a week of intensive ABA. In the case of my child's program, I eventually led a team of therapists in the role of senior therapist / team coordinator. Working very closely with the program's consultant, I provided the critical link between conception and implementation of the program. My formal training is in the Lovaas method of Applied Behavior Analysis, so there is familiarity with the techniques involved and what is required to make such a program successful. A very patient individual, I am also able to multi task, conducting therapy and collecting accurate data throughout. Being fully bilingual allows me to provide ABA therapy in both English and French according to the needs of the child.
